Simply the most bang for your buck ...
I sponsor the Old Sarge Racing Team in Project Torque, with more than sixty members, and monthly award two of these wheels to my most improved drivers. So far I've bought a total of eight of them, most coming from Amazon when they're in stock and a couple more from Beach Audio, The recording Store and The Price Pros, all reliable Amazon affiliates. I'll buy one more tomorrow and another the first of next week. All have arrived promptly and all of them are still working hard. My personal wheel has more than 35,000 in-game miles over a period of some six months and still looks and feels new. The other seven drivers who've received them have also piled up mile after mile with no failures and no problems.A couple of reviews I've seen mention the limited turning radius and claim that this is a shortcoming compared to the Logitech G-25s and G-27s. Actually, that's the biggest virtue of the wheel. In ninety degree or greater turns, you have to cross your hands over at least once...

I was amazed!!!
First, let me say that I am new to racing games. I have played the Need For Speed Series, but that is really it. A friend of mine mentioned that the Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 Racing Wheel was compatible with Dirt 2 on the PS3. I contacted Thrustmaster and sure enough, it is! They said that Codemasters had worked with them to get their wheels tech programmed into the game. I was sold. I bought the F430 and Dirt 2. I WAS AMAZED at how comfortable this wheel is. Make no mistake, this wheel is as sturdy a wheel as I have ever used. I tried to play some games on teh Xbox 360 using the Microsoft wheel and when my palms sweat (which was often due to my n00b status), my hands would slip. On the Thrustmaster F430 wheel, the grip is a VERY high quality rubber that meant ZERO slipping when my hands got sweaty. I was also very impressed with the responsiveness of the force feedback. You won't regret it!
I bought this Ferrari wheel because of the price (the G25 was over $200 all around the web) and that was the best thing I did!The wheel is rock solid, metal made with rubber cover around the wheel itself, the gear paddles are made of metal too as well as the pedals.The wheel has a good grip, good quality and even it's 270 I can't complain! Works perfect for my F1 races online with rFactor.And the Manettino was a nice surprise, I can configure a lot of different settings for it, it really helps while in the middle of a race and you need to change some setup or driving aid for your car.That's the best you can get for the price, why pay more and have a similar product when you can own this superb piece of hardware?That's the best for the bucks and after all, it's a Ferrari! Your friends will be impressed with the horse logo in the middle of it.I recommend!

Great for smaller kids
I've been searching for a steering wheel with pedals and a supporting beam, but for kids as young as 4 year old and 36 inches tall. There are plastic wheels securing steering column to small base to put between kids thighs for Wii (controller insert type), but non for PS3. Also I didn't want to build a frame for my kids that will grow out of it in matter of months. So I kept searching for many months, until I found this set.I was very happy that with steering wheel column in most compact mode. My youngest boy (about 3 feet tall) can sit on a kids chair, with hands on the wheel and feet on both pedals! So cute seeing this is possible! And this set will even allow someone over 6 feet as well.The whole unit looks pretty robust, which appears to be mostly metal for the steering column and the base. Fantastic
I've had it for about a month now and totally love it... Works on all of my PS3 games, some were harder to configure than others but overall a breeze. Dirt 3 is autosynced so nothing for you to do then turn it on :) Also, the assembly was a breeze.. No exageration there... I'm so bad at these things generally speaking and was worried I was going screw up or take forever. It literally was ready to go in 5 minutes. If that... I do wish it had force feedback but the feel of the wheel and the love of having connected pedals all in one sweet package makes up for the lack of FF. I'm psyched I got this and don't regret spending the money...

Excellent wheel for the price
This is a great wheel for the ps3. I have burnout paradise, blur, split second, need for speed shift, and motorstorm. It works great with all of them. It has a feature to where you can map any of the buttons to different buttons. The gas pedal is automatically mapped to the R2 button as the brake button is automatically mapped to the L2 button by default. It has different sensitivity settings and a great feel as well as button placement. I also have the logitech gt wheel which is also a great wheel but I find myself using this wheel more. Mainly because it works on all racing games, the gt wheel only works with some games. It doesn't have force feedback which is the only real drawback I have to say about this wheel. I bought this wheel before I bought the gt wheel and I'm glad I did. I have never had any problems with this wheel so far, just make sure you plug it in before you turn on your ps3 with the wheel switched to the ps3 instead of pc. Not bad. But it depends on the game.
I should start by saying that this was the first steering wheel I've purchased for my PS3. So I can't compare it to others.I played "Dirt" and was right away disappointed by the large amount of steering I had to do for the small amount of turning the car in the game would do. So I immediately put it in the higher sensitivity mode. This was better, but still not great. For instance I would turn the wheel 1/2 of the range to the left, but the car would only very slightly turn. Not much more turning of the wheel would result in the car making the maximum turn. So basically the range wasn't consistent.Then I threw on "Motorstorm". The performance was MUCH better. The range of steering was right in line with the steering range of the vehicle on the screen.One note: I had to restart my PS3 in order for the peddles to be detected. For some reason when I plugged it into the PS3 after it was already booted it detected the steering wheel, but not the...

Best value if you are a casual racing game fan
If you are dedicated fan of racing games, and specialize in driving in them exclusively, the Ferrari Experience Racing Wheel is the wrong product for you, and you probably know that already. For an average gamer like me, who occasionally dabbles in racing games, the hundreds of dollars needed to get some of that gear is an overkill. I still like to have better control than a standard dualshock gamepad, and amazingly, this racing wheel provides it for the about same price. The wheel itself is solidly built of sturdy plastic, and very well laid out with the paddle up/down shifters and all the action buttons. With the strong clamp, mounting this wheel sturdily should be no problem at all. You can however forget about playing it in your lap, the tension of the bugee mechanism makes that impossible. The wheel is a bit on the small side, and the bungee cord tension mechanism is stiff, but the steering control provided by it far surpasses the dualshock thumbsticks. The pedals are very...

Great wheel . . .but. . . .
I purchased this wheel and pedals specifically for GT5. When I opened the box I was VERY pleased with what I found! The wheel and pedals look and feel great! No complaints there, but. . .I can't get the thing to work with GT5! I'm not sure it's supported as it is not listed among others in the settings menu. If you're planning on playing some other PS3 title, make sure you validate the compatability prior to purchasing.

I own a business with 12 PC simulators in an LAN running Nascar Racing 2003 season, so I've seen lots of wheels in the last 5 years. Starting with the PROS: The price was good, solid feel, pedals are comfortably apart from each other, lots of force/resistance. CONS: noisy (squeaks), small diameter wheel and the deal breaker *** The buttons cannot be assigned to keyboard commands *** There are only drivers for windows, no actual programming software. I used Saitek wheels (no longer available) for years, have (2) Logitech G-25's (not cost effective) and have since moved on to the Logitech Driving Force GT (Stellar Wheel). This wheel may be good for newer games that all the commands are not linked to keyboard strokes but doesn't work for my needs.

Great wheel! Bought to play for iracing.com sim and it works perfect. Requires a little caliberation, but it does caliberate itself...kind of weird because the wheel moved by itself when it did but it was cool. Works perfect and I love it!
